Kennel van Stoopy

You can get in touch with us and meet our dogs. Please e-mail or phone us for an appointment. It is not possible to order a pup by phone or e-mail. It is possible to register for a pup by phone or e-mail, but before the dog is pregnant, I want to talk to you in person. After that I will see if you can become the owner of a Longcoated German Shepherd dog, bred by “Kennel van Stoopy”. As a breeder, I took that privilege and in the end, the decision is made by me.
This website is made to give you a global impression about "Kennel van Stoopy". You will get a better impression though, by visiting the kennel yourself. Therefore I do hope that you really will come and take a look and also will visit other breeders and / or there websites. This so that you will get a better impressions about breeders and the bitches they use for breeding. The character of the bitch is very important, is she social, kind, aggressive, tolerant etcetera. By go seeing the bitch, you can see what your possible future dog will be, or at least can be. The family, the pack, in the end will decide how and if the young dog can develope itself and what place it will get within the pack.
The Longcoated German Shepherd dog is, in general, not suitable for training or as a working dog. It is too kind. For the people that do want to go in to this top-class sport, I advise you : DON'T TAKE A LONGCOATED GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG. In my opinion, the Longcoated German Shepherd Dog is extremely suitable as a house- and guarddog and as a companion, who as for it's looks, is very beautiful. However, this doesn't mean that the Longcoated German Shepherd Dog doesn't want to work, the contrary is true. This dog wants to work, use it's nose and help (partly) disabled people (as well as fysically as mentally), but the word "bite" it still has to learn.
To maintain and improve the breed, I expect the promise from the new owner, that he/she will get the Longcoated German Shepherd Dog x-rayed between the 16th and the 17th week, by means of the PennHip method and that I will get the results.
I am willing to compensate in the costs, namely half the costs of the x-rays, to a maximum of 100 Euro (also see Contract in the Menu). This has it's advantages for the new owner and for me. The new owner gets assurance about the condition of the hips of his dog and the breeder gets insight about the way the bitch or dog inherits. With the results, the owner knows how much he/she can do with the dog. With all the results together the breeder can or HAS TO take measures. I know by experience how much misery and grief it gives and how frustrating it is to discover at a certain point that your dog is not healthy. This is what I try to avoid as a breeder and I will strive to breed a healthy Longcoated German Shepherd Dog. To realise this, I require this co-operation of the proud new owner of a Longcoated German Shepherd Dog.
