ik heb u verhaal over het appel gelezen nu zijn er van die vesten waar je
een bal kunt in doen wat is u gedachten daar over heb zelf een hond van 1jaar
hoelang zou je daar mee kunnen trainen alvorens het af te bouwen

Hoi
Zelf heb ik niet zo'n vest en dus ook nooit gebruikt, maar volgens mij
maakt het in feite niet uit of je nu zo'n vest hebt of niet.
Het zal bovendien alleen werken als je hond echt gefixeert is op een
bal en anders werkt het niet. Pas op ik wil het gebruik van zo'n vest
niet afkraken, maar je hond weet ook zeer snel dat de bal in een zak
van je jas zit hoor en zeker als je de bal steeds in dezelfde zak van
je jas stopt. Voordeel vind ik dat je hond de bal dan niet ziet. Moet
je hond de bal zien, neem dan een bal aan een rubbere lus en hang hem
voor op je borst of nog beter op je linker schouder.
Hoelang moet je dit doen? Dat is moeilijk te zeggen en afhankelijk van
hoe vaak je oefent en hoe snel je hond leert en hoe consequent je dit
allemaal oefent. Ik kan van hieruit wel een tijd noemen maar dat is
uit de lucht gegrepen en heeft dus geen enkele zin, waarom ik dan ook
geen tijd noem.
Je moet het zien als ieder andere interval training en het steeds
minder doen dus, maar op het juiste moment als je hond minder
interesse toont het weer gebruiken.
Wat ook goed helpt, is een bal onder je oksel stoppen en wanneer je
hond geen oog voor je heeft, hoef je alleen maar je arm iets op te
tillen waardoor de bal valt en je hond weer attent zal zijn.
